Kids – Summer

The Young Actors at Strasberg Kids Day Camp is designed for students looking for a fun and focused week of developing basic acting skills and nurturing their imaginations. The program runs during the summer for one week during July. The camp introduces Grade 2 through 5 students to Acting, Musical Theatre, Stage Combat/Movement, and On Camera. This program explores the creative process and helps develop skills in teamwork, leadership, and creative expression in a very concentrated week of study. Classes are held Monday through Friday from 9:00-5:00. An Open House is scheduled the last day of camp for parents and friends to see their child in action.

Additionally, students will be introduced to techniques for both the stage and for film and the detailed differences to effectively perform in different mediums. 1 hour per day.

In Singing, students receive technical training in breathing, diction, harmony, and rhythm while building confidence and vocal strength. Musical terminology including applicable Italian musical terms is taught. 1 hour per day.
